You Have to Change to Stay the Same. An ongoing practice extrapolating on the complexities of homesickness, situated in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

This undertaking started as a means to relay a message to someone I met on the streets of Rotterdam just before I had moved out.
What started as a fun experiment with my friends grew into a small community. Sending a message across borders, but avoiding using words. A stencil combined with a set of instructions now defines this project.

The practice uses the different shapes of pavement stones as a canvas, asking international people currently living in Rotterdam to create drawings relating to their homesickness.
The instructions introduce a very simple drawing game using very rudimentary rules and constrictions.
Simple lines, complex landscapes.
